The connection between fashion and music has always been a cornerstone of pop culture. Designer Happy Andrada underscored this cross-cultural synergy with her latest fashion show in collaboration with the Pinoy Music Festival 2024.

Andrada’s 32-piece collection offered a playful yet mesmerizing blend of heritage and modernity, celebrating the Philippines’ rich textile history while reimagining iconic Filipino styles for a global audience.

The show opened with the vibrant energy of Anima Tierra, a Manila-based world music band that electrified the audience with a powerful set of percussions and enchanting vocals. As the music filled the air, Andrada’s models graced the runway, showcasing her signature satirical style. Highlights included flowing midi skirts crafted from piña silk, Chinoiserie-inspired collared side-tie tops, Inaul trousers, and whimsical headpieces paired with baskets brimming with florals.
Here’s a roundup of our favorite looks from Happy’s show.
