The British Embassy, the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines, and the British Council are gearing up for the upcoming Great British Festival 2024, set to take place at the BGC Amphitheatre on 19-20 October 2024. The event will be filled with engaging activities, music, and food to showcase the shared culture and traditions of the United Kingdom and the Philippines.
The event is organized together with its supporting partners: PruLife UK, Shell, Pandiman, BPI, Unilever, Corio Generation, HSBC, SSI Marks & Spencer, VFS Global, PGA Cars – Bentley, BSI, Inchcape, BDO, Standard Chartered, Jollibee Foods Corporation, Radical Motors, Union Jack Tavern, Yummy Organics Food Corporation, Tao Corporation, The Borough Pizza Pub, Gridiron Shawarma x Sausage, Ginebra San Miguel, Vogue Concepts – Charles Tyrwhitt, Nord Anglia International School Manila and Drake International, McDonald’s, Philippine Airlines and Estate Wines.

BCCP Executive Director/Trustee Chris Nelson said, “The Great British Festival is a testament to the long-standing economic, diplomatic, and cultural relations between the UK and the Philippines. We aim to showcase the growing presence of the British business community, provide other UK companies a glimpse of how diverse the Philippine market is, and eventually encourage them to invest in the country.”
During the festival’s return in 2023 after a 5-year hiatus, it featured 38 British companies and 50,000 attendees– showcasing a dynamic blend of art, business, culture, and performances catering to the growing Filipino-British community in the country. The Philippines ranks as the UK’s 61st most significant trading partner–with an all-time high of £2.7 billion in total trade in goods and services. The BCCP will maintain its support for strengthening ties between the UK and the Philippines, particularly in business relationships, finance, retail, food and beverage, and education.
